Our Target: Chronic Symptoms and Disease

Many people are drawn to our naturopathic medicine clinic because they suffer from chronic symptoms that have eluded diagnosis or effective treatment. When it comes to chronic issues, there isn’t a quick fix. You can’t just prescribe a pill and expect the symptoms to subside. That’s why we’re Scottsdale’s go-to practice for chronic symptom reversal.

Here’s how naturopathic medicine addresses common issues:

  • Fatigue: Identifying adrenal imbalances, mitochondrial dysfunction, or chronic infections.

  • Leaky Gut: Employing healing diets, gut-supportive supplements, and stress reduction.

  • Migraines/Headaches: Investigating triggers ranging from food sensitivities to hormonal imbalances.

  • Thyroid Imbalances: Comprehensive thyroid testing and tailored support protocols.

  • Infertility: Addressing underlying hormonal, nutritional, or lifestyle factors.

  • Acne: Investigating hormonal imbalances, gut health, or food sensitivities.

  • Asthma, Allergies: Assessing the immune response, environmental factors, and gut health.

  • Joint Pain: Exploring inflammatory triggers, autoimmune conditions, or nutrient deficiencies.

  • High Blood Pressure: Evaluating dietary factors, stress levels, and potential hormonal contributors.

Our Focus: Root-Cause Wellness

At the core of holistic naturopathic medicine is the philosophy of "root-cause wellness."

Other types of care merely address symptoms as isolated issues. For example, you take a pain reliever to stop joint pain, but you don’t target the underlying issue causing the pain in the first place. Our practitioners, however, dive deep to understand the underlying causes of health concerns.

Naturopathic medicine also views the body as an interconnected system. An imbalance in one area can ripple into numerous health challenges. That’s why holistic health is so important – it triggers healing across every organ and system, from digestion to hormone balance. By addressing the root causes, naturopathic medicine aims for long-term solutions rather than temporary fixes.

Our Specialty: Holistic Wellness Plans

Holistic wellness plans are incredibly powerful interventions that are customized to your unique needs. They typically begin with an in-depth consultation at our Scottsdale naturopathic medicine clinic, often lasting more than an hour. During this time, our practitioner listens to you as you discuss your health history, concerns, and health goals. Not only is this consultation an important information-gathering session, it’s a time for you to feel encouraged and supported. You won’t be rushed out as you would be at other practices.

Based on this information, a personalized plan is developed which may include:

1. Dietary changes: Emphasis on anti-inflammatory foods, elimination diets to pinpoint food sensitivities, or protocols to heal the gut.

2. Supplement recommendations: Targeted nutrients or botanicals to support body systems.

3. Lifestyle modifications: Stress management techniques, sleep optimization, and exercise guidelines tailored to the individual.

4. Mind-body practices: Meditation, yoga, and other practices to harmonize mental and physical well-being.

Naturopathic Medicine is Backed Up By Science and Lab Results

Conventional medicine isn’t the only approach that’s driven by the latest science and research. Naturopathic medicine may be an alternative method, but being an alternative doesn’t discount its reliance on evidence.

Most importantly, all of our clients are asked to undergo various labs and screenings. Advanced laboratory testing is a cornerstone of our practice, and we partner with some of the best laboratories in Scottsdale.

Unlike conventional tests you might receive from a primary care provider, our panel is comprehensive. Tests might delve into genetics, intricate hormone panels, comprehensive stool analyses, or detailed nutrient profiles. The results not only inform the diagnosis but also guide personalized treatment protocols.

Transparent Pricing and Unshackled Healthcare Choices

A question we often get is, “How much does naturopathic medicine cost?”

While naturopathic medicine is not cheap, it’s transparent and predictable. One of the appeals of many naturopathic medicine is straightforward pricing. The costs of consultations, tests, and treatments are provided up-front, allowing you to budget well. By sidestepping the traditional insurance model, our clinic can focus on providing optimal care without administrative hurdles.

While out-of-pocket expenses may initially seem higher, many find the long-term value and health improvements to be well worth the investment. That’s the beauty of preventive care. By taking care of yourself now, you’ll spend less time in emergency rooms later.

Meet Dr. Warner

Dr. Stephanie Warner is a Naturopathic Doctor and Classically Trained Licensed Acupuncturist. She believes in first understanding the cause of symptoms and working with the bodies physiology to facilitate sustainable health.

Originally from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Dr. Warner moved to Portland to pursue a Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine and Masters of Science in Oriental Medicine. She was first introduced to Naturopathic Medicine at the age of 17, when she was experiencing some symptoms related to food allergies. She was treated with dietary changes and combinational homeopathics which resolved symptoms in a matter of months. Following this experience Dr. Warner developed a strong interest in the medical field. In 2008, she received a Bachelors degree in Nursing from the University of Lethbridge.

With this Dr. Warner worked as a Registered Nurse in Internal Medicine, Respiratory Medicine, and in the Emergency department for several years. This experience taught her a lot about medicine and healing, but over the course of a couple of years she started to believe that she could do more good for people in the outpatient setting. This is because she believes that Naturopathic and Chinese medicine are excellent at treating chronic disease.

While studying Naturopathic Medicine, Dr. Warner developed an interest in Chinese Medicine and enrolled in the Masters in Science of Oriental Medicine. She liked that she could look at a patients tongue, feel their acupuncture channels and take their pulse and get instantaneous information about their body and treat them on the spot.

Dr. Warner is founder of Elixir and Wellness holistic clinic, located in Scottsdale, Arizona. Book a free consultation with her today to learn more about what naturopathic medicine can do for you.
